Nice tutorial but I wonder why you wouldn't just do this in Illustrator.

Take back your PSD's and become a Layer Mayor!
The Photoshop Etiquette Manifesto for Web Designers is a list of helpful and *subtle* suggestions to organize Photoshop Documents, making the transfer of them less painful.
What this IS: Guidelines intended for any group of people looking to standardize web design in Photoshop. Feel free to negate any rules that don't work best for your particular group.
What this ISN'T: The authority for ALL groups or individuals using Photoshop. Not even close.
This is an incredibly helpful resource for both the new or seasoned web designer. It's worth checking out.

It's an interesting article about those who really prefer Illustrator but I would suggest looking at Fireworks as well. It does all the things this article mentions about Illustrator and more.

Great set of the latest web font-faces. Most of them are free.

Creative Toolbox started as a companion blog for my first published book, Adobe Creative Suite 2 How-Tos. This book was published five years ago. I've enjoyed to continue to contribute a few tips, thoughts, and curate content related to Adobe through out the years but as time has waned so has my general interest in just focusing on Adobe content.
That's why I've decided to create a new blog that focuses more on my interests and experiences while being a bit more personal. Enter stage left, Nudge Up. Nudge Up will be more about UX design, web design and development, random, funny and weird stuff. If any of these interest you, please feel free to follow me on Tumblr here and/or Twitter here.
I'll still post content related to Adobe and Apple but you'll find the content on Nudge Up to be more varied than just around these two topics.
For those still following Creative Toolbox, thanks for sticking with me. I hope you follow me along at Nudge Up.
